iOS Shortcut: Bulk resizing photos

I often take screenshots when watching course video. Those screenshots are usually very sharp and large. That’s oversized as reference purpose. So I need to bulk resizing them into smaller size for storage.

The following shortcut takes multiple photos from share sheet and resize the images into 25%, 50%, 75% size. It will then prompt to delete the original photos.

  1. In Photos app
  2. Select multiple photos
  3. Click share
  4. Choose “Bulk Resize Photos” action
  5. Resized photos are saved to Photos.
  6. After running the shortcut, it prompts to delete original photos.

Here is the demo resizing 17 photos:

I teach web design. I write books on HTML5 games development. I host classes on mobile web and app development. I made animation with Adobe Flash (now Animate).
